Delta College has reached an important milestone during construction of the new Saginaw Center.

On August 23, 2018 college, community and construction leaders signed their names to the final steel beam before it was placed atop the building on E. Genessee Ave. in downtown Saginaw. 

​

Spence Brothers is the general contractor on the project, while WTA Architects is the architectural firm behind the plans.

​

Delta College President Dr. Jean Goodnow, State Senator Ken Horn, and many others including project leaders from WTA signed their names to the beam.

​

Reaching this construction milestone has taken a lot of hard work.

​

The Saginaw Center is expected to be ready for students prior to the fall semester in 2019, but construction is expected to finish up next spring. Staff should be able to start working there in May of 2019.

Up next the roof will go on, then the building will be enclosed allowing construction crews to do their work through the winter months.
